Classic, glamorous train journeys through the bushveld

Rovos Rail offers golf or safari itineraries and a leisurely journey along the famous Garden Route, alongside weekly departures between Pretoria and Cape Town. The 1000 mile trip means travellers have the pleasure of spending two nights aboard the restored luxury coaches of the Pride of Africa.

The world-famous Blue Train also runs between Cape Town and Pretoria, but makes quicker time with just one night spent aboard. The Blue Train’s lavish suites have been designed to the highest specifications, while exquisite cuisine is served in an opulent dining car.

The line follows an old pioneering trail carved out of the African bushveld, passing through the Winelands and climbing through the Hex River Valley.
