Perched high on the cliffs, Birkenhead House offers expansive sea views, perfect for whale watching and cliff walks. Visit the nearby wine estates of Hamilton Russell or Bouchard Finlayson to sample internationally renowned wines. From here continue on to Plettenberg Bay, offering miles of golden sand and stay in one of the most spectacular resorts in South Africa, The Plettenberg. A plethora of activities are on offer from biking along the forest trails to deep sea fishing, or take a ferry trip across the Knysna Lagoon for some oyster tasting.

Tour Itinerary (12 nights/14 days):
Days 1 & 2 Fly to Cape Town and transfer to the Cape Grace (1) for four nights
Days 3 – 5 Receive your hire car, then explore Cape Town and take a cable car ride up Table Mountain
Day 6 Spend two nights at Birkenhead House, Hermanus (2)
Day 7 At leisure in Hermanus
Days 8 – 10 Drive down the scenic Garden Route via Knysna to Plettenberg Bay, then spend three nights at The Plettenberg (3) exploring the area at your leisure
Day 11 Drive eastwards via the Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth and transfer to Shamwari Private Game Reserve at Bayethe Lodge (4) for a three night safari
Days 12 & 13 Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives
Day 14 Transfer to Port Elizabeth, fly to Johannesburg for your flight home to the UK
