Explore gorgeous Queenstown before heading towards New Zealand’s Glacier Country and the magnificently mountainous Southern Alps.
Day 1: Drive from Queenstown Airport to the centrally located Sofitel Queenstown Hotel and Spa for two nights. Unwind with a spa experience before dinner at Vie restaurant.
Day 2: Day at leisure. Queenstown is known as the ‘Adventure Capital of the World’, so enjoy river excursions, day hikes and hot-air ballooning, as well as visiting local vineyards.
Day 3: Explore Queenstown’s vibrant café culture and its abundance of shopping and dining options.
Day 4: Drive to Franz Josef in Glacier Country via the picturesque Lake Wanaka and scenic Haast Pass highway. Check in to Franz Josef Glacier Country Retreat for one night.
Day 5: Drive to Arthur’s Pass, a small hamlet and National Park in the Southern Alps. Check in to Grasmere Lodge for a two-night stay.
Day 6: Day at leisure – walking, climbing, fishing, bird watching and hearing the call of the Great Spotted Kiwi.
Day 7: Drive over the mountainous Porters Pass to Christchurch. Depart Christchurch via your onward flight.
