Experience the ancient cultures and imposing beauty of both rural and urban China on your journey through the 'cradle of China'. Begin your discovery in the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai followed by six days cruising the Yangtze between Chongqing and Wuhan where the deep limestone gorges and dramatic scenery reveal an array of nature's wonders.
Days 1 & 2: Fly from the UK to Shanghai and transfer to the Hyatt on the Bund for a one night stay. Enjoy the sights of Shanghai.
Day 3: Transfer to the airport for your flight from Shanghai to Yichang and embark your luxury cruise ship. Get your first experience of this mighty river as you set sail for the dramatic Three Gorges. Cruise into the night and enjoy dinner on board.
Day 4: Arrive at Xiling Gorge, whose banks are covered with stunning orange orchards, and the Three Gorges Dam project site and exhibition centre.
Day 5: Cruise the Shennong Stream then sail through the Wu and Qutang Gorges.
Day 6: Arrive in Fengdu for a shore excursion.
Days 7&8: Morning disembark at Chongqing. Fly to Shanghai and transfer to Hyat on the Bund for two nights.
Days 9&10: Visit Shanghai's Yu Yuan Garden, Jade Buddah Temple and local markets. The following day transfer to the airport for your flight home from Shanghai back to the UK.
