Remote mountain hideaway and luxury spa experience
This beguiling six-day journey explores one of China’s more remote regions.
Yunnan’s rich culture, pretty ancient towns and breathtaking natural beauty have seen it designated the official Shangri-La by the Chinese Government.
Day 1: Travel to the beautiful small town of Lijang, which borders Tibet. Stay three nights at the sumptuous Banyan Tree Lijang, its luxurious villas reflecting the majesty of China’s rich traditions.
Day 2: Explore Lijang’s cobbled streets and meandering canals, followed by a tour of the Black Dragon Pool.
Day 3: Traverse through mountainous terrain to Tiger Leaping Gorge, the deepest ravine in the world.
Day 4: Complete your journey through Yunnan with three nights at Banyan Tree Ringha, traditional Tibetan farmhouses housing its luxurious lodges and suites.
Day 5: Found on the Tibetan plains some 3200 metres above sea level, Ringha’s spectacular setting of snow-capped mountains, deep canyons, endless valleys and crystal-clear streams makes it a truly remote paradise.
Day 6: Independent sightseeing.
Day 7: Depart Ringha for Beijing or Shanghai.
