Luxury Holidays in Langkawi
Spectacular tropical island destination off Malaysia
Located off the northwest coast of Malaysia, Langkawi is a spectacular archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea. The islands border Thailand and are part of Malaysia’s Kedah state. In the past many eagles lived here, while Langkawi has recently been branded Langkawi Geopark with reference to UNESCO declaring it a World Geopark.
Secluded and remote, Langkawai reveals impeccable white sand beaches, rugged mountain peaks and lush green foliage. There is superb diving and snorkelling around Pulau Payar Marine Park as well as watersports and kayaking through mangrove forests.
Jungle treks and wildlife trails boast magnificent birdwatching opportunities; the area also offers shark watching and feeding tours. Langkawi’s specialist seafood restaurants serve delicious fresh catches from the Andaman Sea.
