Eastern & Oriental Express Singapore to Bangkok

Luxury two-night exotic rail journey

The 1200-mile journey between Singapore and Bangkok takes just over two days and nights. A flexible schedule allows you to travel single sections of the route should you so wish. There is time to explore historic Penang, and a stop at Kanchanaburi features a fascinating tour of the River Kwai Bridge.

Luxuriate in the old world charm afforded by your sumptuous, air-conditioned private compartment. Pullman Compartments have upper and lower berths, while State Compartments provide two single berths; both have en-suite bathrooms and are converted into comfortable private viewing cars during the day. For an unforgettable colonial-style experience, the Presidential Suites come complete with dressing rooms and complimentary bar.

Watch unspoiled landscapes ease by as you relax with a cocktail, then take your seat in the Dining Car, serving gourmet Asian and International dishes and boasting a first-class wine list. After dinner, let the Bar Car’s resident pianist welcome you in for a nightcap.
