Visit bustling, historic Thimpu then drive through subtropical valleys to Paro’s ancient monasteries. Next, relax at the eco-friendly Uma Paro hotel, a haven of serenity.
Day 1: Fly Kolkata to Paro. Transfer to Thimpu and check into the Druk Hotel for a two-night stay.
Day 2: Full sightseeing day.
Day 3: Drive over the Dochu-La pass to Punakha. Overnight at the Zangtog Pelri Hotel.
Day 4: Drive to the Dzong in Wangdue district before continuing over a high pass to the glacial valley of Phobjikha. Visit Gangtey Gompa Monastery. Overnight at Dewachen Guest House.
Day 5: After lunch, transfer by car to Paro and check into Uma Paro hotel for a two-night stay.
Day 6: Half day walking excursion up to Taksang for views of the monastery across the ravine.
Day 7: Transfer to Paro airport for your early morning flight to Kolkata.
