Days 1 & 2: Fly UK to Colombo and transfer to Jetwing Beach, Negombo for one night.
Day 3: Journey by car to legendary Sigiriya via Pinnawela where you will visit the famous elephant orphanage. In the afternoon visit the Dambulla Cave Temples. Stay at the luxurious Jetwing Vil Uyana hotel for three nights.
Day 4: Explore the spectacular Sigiriya 5th century rock fortress, Lion Rock. In the afternoon visit the ancient Ayukna Buddha statue.
Day 5: Head to the ancient town of Polonnaruwa and later that day enjoy a jeep elephant safari at Minneriya National Park.
Day 6: Drive to Kandy. Set in beautiful hill country, this fascinating city contains the extraordinary Buddhist Temple of the Tooth Relic. Visit the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens and enjoy an evening cultural show before staying overnight at Earl’s Regency.
Day 7: Return to the golden sands of Negombo via Kithulgala, location for the film ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’. Stay the night at The Beach, Negombo.
Day 8: Transfer to Colombo airport for your flight home to the UK.
